The social networking site Twitter was created in launched in 2006 and pretty much took the world by storm. As of 2012, Twitter had over 500 million registered users, was generating over 340 million tweets daily and handling over 1.6 billion search queries per day. That’s incredible! Twitter Tips – Using Hashtags to Promote Your Speaking Event

More and more NSA CO speakers are engaging on Twitter, and using it to promote their talks and events. One of the best things you can do to market one of your upcoming events is to create a Twitter hashtag, specifically for the event. If you’re not familiar with #hashtags, here’s the scoop.
