SuperSize Your Success!

~Fred Berns

Fred Burns

Thinking big and aiming high can work wonders for your speaking, training and/or consulting business. They can lead to higher fees, better clients, long term contracts, sponsorship deals, lucrative product orders, and much more.

Big thinking begins with the questions you ask your clients. Borrowing from the fast food restaurant model, you can dramatically increase your sales - and "SUPER-SIZE" your business!

This program shows how the right questions - combined with a little creativity and a whole lot of chutzpah -- can take your business to the next level, and beyond.

Fred Berns specializes in serving the interior design trade, and is widely recognized as the biggest name in the business. He helps design professionals through his presentations around the country, his private coaching, and his sales and marketing books, articles, ezines and other educational tools.

He is the author of the book, Sell Yourself!: 501 Ways to Get Them to Buy from YOU and a variety of other books, and audio and video programs.  You do not want to miss this SUPER program!

Story Theater-Making Content Come Alive!

Doug Stevenson

Doug will perform a Story Theater story and analyze it for the Nine Steps of Story Structure and emotional triggers that cause an engaging sympathetic experience for the listener.  He will show you how deliberate crafting and subtle acting techniques transform a story and make it more powerful. In the morning session, two volunteers will be coached so you can see the Story Theater Method in action.

Doug is the creator of The Story Theater Method and author of  Never Be Boring Again - Make Your Business Presentations Capture Attention, Inspire Action and Produce Results and The 21-Step How to Write and Deliver a Dynamite Speech System. He is a former actor, now speaker, trainer and speaker's coach. He is a frequent presenter at NSA, PSA, CAPS and ASTD chapters and has been on the main stage at the PSA of Europe convention in England, the NSAA convention in Sydney, and the German Speakers Association convention in Munich.

NSA Colorado Logo for 2007-2008Paper chains and bright fall-colored leaves taped to the walls, door posts and ceilings transformed a drab and dirty building into a Holiday Wonderland.  This week I accompanied 43 sixth graders downtown to decorate and bless the Denver Rescue Mission and, as always, when we give of ourselves, we receive so much more in return. Last week, each child wrote two or three letters to a stranger who would enter this building and they hung those letters around the dining hall, the chapel and the sleeping rooms.  I was so moved by what these 11 and 12 year olds wrote from their hearts.

One young girl wrote, "I know that at times you might be feeling very sad and lonely.  I felt that way too when my mom died two years ago, but I want you to know that I care and that I am praying for you right now. I hope when you look at all of the decorations we brought, you will remember that you are loved."

This is the time of year that we can get caught in that stressful trap of trying to make our homes look like Martha Stewart's, and our gift choices rival Donald Trump's.  We have so much to be grateful for and so people around us showing love and care. Why not take a pack of construction paper and make a paper chain or some hand-cut snowflakes and stars, and when you look at them this holiday season, remember you are loved.  What more can we want this time of year?

I am grateful for the wonderful friends I have made here at NSA and for the wisdom that is always so graciously shared.  I am hanging a paper star in my office to remember each of you this Holiday season!
